我们之前学过的半导体的定义是这样的：

In semiconductors, the electrons are bound in bands, but can be easily released from the band by applying some energy(e.g. heat ,lighting). their electrical properties can be modified strongly by the presence of small quantities of inpurities. these materials form the key part of electronic devices such as diodes, transistors, etc.
